Dr. Ratan Bhivaji Ajgaonkar is a caring and highly experienced dermatologist with over 15 years of expertise in treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. Dr. Ratan speaks English, Hindi, and Marathi, allowing her to communicate comfortably with patients from diverse backgrounds. She provides safe, effective, and compassionate dermatology care for patients of all ages.
She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Akola, and went on to specialize in dermatology with a Diploma in Venereology and Dermatological Diseases (DVD) from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She further pursued a DNB in Dermatology from HBT Medical College and Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Ratan has also successfully completed MRCP (UK) – Part 1 and Part 2.
Dr. Ratan has actively contributed to academic dermatology by presenting papers and posters at national and international conferences, earning several awards and recognitions.
She has worked in some of Mumbai’s leading government and teaching hospitals, including KEM Hospital, Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital, and K. B. Bhabha Hospitals (Bandra and Kurla). In addition, she has served as a Consultant Dermatologist at Ravi Hospital, Vasai, and as a Specialist Dermatologist at ESIS Hospital, Thane, before relocating to the UAE in 2025.
Known for her gentle and patient-centred approach, Dr. Ratan takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and provides personalised treatment plans. She manages common and chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, and fungal infections, helping patients regain healthy, confident skin.
She also performs skin biopsies and minor dermatological procedures such as mole and wart removal, electrocautery, radiofrequency treatments, and cryotherapy.
