JCI Enterprise Accreditation

JCI Enterprise Accreditation

In 2025, we became the first healthcare provider globally to earn the Joint Commission International Enterprise Accreditation under the Continuous Survey methodology. We are now placed among only 13 organisations worldwide to hold JCI Enterprise Accreditation. Patients visiting any of our NMC facilities across the UAE receive the same high standards of care.

Pursuing Accreditation

WHO-UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative

We are currently pursuing the three year WHO-UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative accreditation. Across all our multi-speciality hospitals in the UAE, breastfeeding, maternal-infant bonding and evidence-based neonatal practices will be promoted and emphasised.

Three of our hospitals, NMC Royal Hospital DIP, NMC Specialty Hospital Al Nahda and NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah are seeking JCI Clinical Care Program Certification. Enhancing emergency readiness, improving high-acuity care and reducing mortality and disability will be a focus area.

Pursuing Accreditation

ACEP Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation

NMC Royal Hospital Khalifa City is pursuing accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians for Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation. Through this award, we ensure specialised care for elderly patients via dedicated staff training and age-friendly clinical pathways.

ANCC Pathway to Excellence Designation

The prestigious ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center is a recognition of a positive practice environment where nurses are empowered, valued and supported in delivering exceptional patient care.

  • NMC Specialty Hospital Al Nahda and NMC ProVita have earned the Pathway to Excellence Designation with distinction.
  • NMC Royal Hospital Dubai Investments Park also achieved the Pathway to Excellence designation. 

Other Recognitions

Our network holds many additional specialised accreditations. NMC Royal Hospital Khalifa City earned the ACHSI Centre of Excellence accreditation in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and is the first in the Middle East to receive this distinction.

In the Northern Emirates, NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah is the only private hospital in the accredited as an Age-Friendly Establishment by the Sharjah Social Services Department and WHO.

ProVita's long-term care facilities hold CARF accreditation and all our NMC laboratories maintaini the ISO 15189:2022 certification. Some of our key facilities retain American Heart Association STEMI and Stroke certifications and the JAWDA Data Certification.
