She is certified by the Arab Board in Ophthalmology and the Syrian Board of Ophthalmology. Furthermore, she was elected as a Surgical Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSED). She has completed her Visual Sciences Examination, the Optics, Refraction and Instruments Examination, and Clinical Ophthalmology Examination in Ophthalmology from the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO).
Dr. Dana Sultan started her career as a Resident Doctor in the Ophthalmology Department at Aleppo University Hospital in 2017. She contributed her services as an Ophthalmology Specialist at Al Hikma Hospital - Aleppo in Syria and at Aleppo University Hospital, the largest hospital in northern Syria. In 2022, she moved to the UAE and continued her medical practice as an Ophthalmology Specialist at My Health Medical Center, Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Dana has also published several research papers in ophthalmology in international journals. She has extensive experience in a broad range of ophthalmic procedures, including routine eye care such as vision testing and correction of refractive errors by refractometry, and prescribing glasses and contact lenses. She performs all minor ophthalmic procedures, along with regular lid reconstruction surgeries, phacoemulsification surgery, refractive surgery, pterygium surgery, and various cataract surgeries.
