
Dr Sheena Tan Go finished her Bachelor’s degree in Family life and child development in Philippines in 1998. In 2003, she graduated in Doctor of Medicine at University of Santo Tomas in Philippines. Dr Sheena passed her Philippine Physician licensure examination in 2005. In 2007, she then passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certified. A year later, she passed her United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3. In 2012, Dr Sheena received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and passed California Acupuncture licensure exam and Certified Medical Acupuncturist a year after.
Dr Sheena started her medical practice at Liao’s Clinic and Hospital in Bohol, Philippines as General Medical Practitioner. In 2007, she became a clinical assistant in Philippines. In the same year 2007, Dr Sheena went to USA and worked as Lead Clinical Research Coordinator at Innovative Clinic Research Inc. 2 year after, she joined Compton Central Health Clinic as Clinic Administrator and on the same year she worked as a Medical Intern at Metropolitan State Hospital for 1 year. In 2009, she worked at Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute as Research Assistant. Dr Sheena went back to her home country to work as General Medical Practitioner at Gonzales – Maranan Medical Center for 2 years. In 2019, she moved to Abu Dhabi and worked as General Medical Practitioner in a private hospital for 1 year before joining NMC.
Dr Sheena is a member of Pi Gamma Mu, International Honor Society Social Science, U.P Alpha Chapter. She is also a member of UST Medical Alumni Association in Philippines and a member as well in South Baylo University English Alumni Association in USA. To her credit Dr Sheena has released several research publications in international peered-reviewed journals.
