VP, Internal Audit

Piyush is a senior Internal Audit, Risk, and Governance leader with nearly two decades of experience supporting complex, multi-country organisations across the Gulf region and Asia. He is an expert in strengthening governance, protecting enterprise value and operating within highly regulated environments, particularly in the healthcare, retail and manufacturing sectors.

As VP Internal Audit, Piyush leads the Group’s internal audit and risk function, providing independent and objective assurance over financial and operational activities across the organisation. He is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an effective internal audit plan, ensuring compliance with the UAE laws, regulations and internal policies, identifying and mitigating risks to safeguard NMC’s interests.

Prior to joining NMC Healthcare, Piyush held senior leadership roles at Aster DM Healthcare, where he led group-wide audit, risk and compliance across the Gulf region and India. Earlier in his career, he was associated with Saint-Gobain, gaining broad regional audit exposure across Europe, the Gulf region and Asia.

Piyush is a Chartered Accountant, an executive alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management’s Leadership Programme and a certified Ethics and Compliance Officer. Grounded in finance and governance, his approach reflects strategic leadership, business insights and pragmatic judgement to support long-term organisational resilience and excellence.
