Healthcare chain celebrates Emirati Women’s Day
ABU DHABI: NMC Healthcare, a nationwide healthcare services provider, celebrated the occasion of the Emirati Women’s Day, with an elegant event at Rotana Al Ain, dedicating the day to all female Emirati staff of the organisation. In line with the UAE government’s vision of Emiratization, as of July 2023, NMC employs 370 Emirati nationals, of which 220 are females.
Under the theme “We Collaborate for Tomorrow,” the event recognised the exemplary work and accomplishments of NMC’S female Emiratis highlighting the importance of their contributions in shaping a promising future for both, NMC and Emirati females.
Distinguished guests, including Sheikh Dr Salem Balrakkad Alameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Cancer Society and Dr. Ahmed Salem Sodin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Society for Parents Care and Relief, graced the event. The event was also atended by Ms. Shaikha Al Nowais, Vice President of Owner Relationship Management at Rotana Group and Magda Al-jarrah, poetess and instructor at Emirates Schools Establishment, reaffirming their commitment to women’s empowerment. The strategic collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police (Al Ain Directorate and Al Murabbaa Police Station), who supported the event, underscored the significance of collective endeavours in nurturing progress and inclusivity.
The day commenced with the resounding notes of the UAE’S National Anthem, followed by an opening ceremony and an inspiring testimonial video featuring NMC’S Emirati female staff, encapsulating the resilience and strength of Emirati women.
The event resonated with the audience through inspirational messages from Guests Dr. Ahmed Salem Sodin and David Hadley. This was complemented by a moving Poem Recital by the talented Magda Al-jarrah.
Addressing the occasion, David Hadley said, “Today, we gather to honour Emirati Women’s Day, acknowledging your invaluable contributions to NMC Healthcare and the wider UAE society. It fills me with pride to share this momentous occasion with all of you present today. Under the leadership of Zainab Abdul Ameer, our VP of Emiratization, we have witnessed a remarkable growth in Emirati employees from just over a year ago to nearly 400 today. With more than 200 Emirati women joining NMC Healthcare during this period, many of whom have assumed leadership positions.”
He continued, “As the largest healthcare provider in the UAE, tending to over 5 million patients annually, we understand the significance of delivering personalised care that truly maters; this is our vision. Your dedication and commitment to the company and UAE society are instrumental in realising this ambition. In this unity, our strength is magnified. I extend my gratitude for your integral role within the NMC family.
