Dr Peyvand Khaleghian

Non-Executive Director

Dr. Peyvand Khaleghian is Co-Founder and Managing Partner Conclave Investments, a specialised healthcare investment firm based in Dubai.

From 2020 to 2023, Dr. Khaleghian served as Group Chief Operating Officer of Mubadala Health, where he was responsible for the operational and clinical performance of an integrated healthcare network that included the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Healthpoint Hospital, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Amana Healthcare, The National Reference Laboratory, Capital Health Screening Centre, HealthPlus Fertility Centres and Clinics, Danat Al Emarat Hospital, and the Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre. He also played a leading role in Mubadala’s acquisition of dialysis company Diaverum.

Prior to this, Dr. Khaleghian was Co-Founder and Executive Director of Amana Healthcare, the Middle East’s leading provider of long-term care, specialised rehabilitation, and home healthcare services, which he co-founded in 2012 and which was acquired by Mubadala in 2019 in the then-largest private market healthcare transaction in the United Arab Emirates.

Before Amana, Dr. Khaleghian had an extended career at the World Bank covering emerging healthcare markets in Asia, Europe, and the Former Soviet Union from the Bank’s headquarters in Washington D.C. and for four years from the World Bank’s Central Asia Regional Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He began his career as a physician in New Zealand.

A New Zealand national, Dr. Khaleghian received his Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins University in the United States, and his M.B., Ch.B. and B.Sc. degrees from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
