Dr. Sonika is a highly experienced Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with over two decades of experience in India and the UAE. She joins NMC from Ahalia Hospital, Abu Dhabi, and has previously served at renowned healthcare institutions including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, Government Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, and Kaushal Nursing Home, Punjab, India.
Dr. Sonika completed her MBBS from NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, India, and subsequently earned her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.
She specializes in the management of obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and provides comprehensive care for a wide range of women's health conditions, including puberty-related concerns, fibroids, uterine prolapse, and menstrual disorders. Dr. Sonika is experienced in the evaluation and management of suspected gynaecological cancers using Pap smears, colposcopy, and advanced diagnostic investigations. Her expertise also extends to minimally invasive gynaecological procedures, including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, for the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, endometrial polyps, and ovarian cysts.
