Dr. Sanjay Singh Chauhan obtained his MBBS degree from Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai, and subsequently completed his MS in Orthopaedic Surgery from Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He has over 8 years of experience in Orthopaedics, with expertise in trauma, arthroscopy, sports medicine, joint preservation and arthroplasty.


Dr. Chauhan has extensive experience in sports-related knee injuries, meniscal repair and ligament reconstruction. He has also performed ACL reconstruction for professional MMA fighter Angad Bisht, reflecting his experience in managing high-performance sports injuries.


He has undergone advanced international training in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Instituto Cugat, Barcelona, Spain, under Dr. Ramon Cugat, and specialised training in Shoulder Surgery at Oregon Shoulder Institute, USA, under Dr. Patrick Denard. His areas of clinical interest include knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ACL/PCL reconstruction, meniscal repair, multi-ligament knee injuries, shoulder instability, joint preservation, orthobiologics, hip and knee arthroplasty, and complex orthopaedic trauma.


Prior to joining NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain, Dr. Chauhan worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Sports Surgeon and Consultant & Assistant Professor in India, with extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching, surgical care and academic activities.
