Full time resident in Orthopedic surgery and Traumatology units in Cairo University Hospitals for 3 years (March 1999-Feb. 2002).
Cairo University Hospitals has centers of orthopedic excellence and is considered the major tertiary referral center in Egypt and Middle East with more than 1500 beds (in the main hospitals only).
Then I got to specialize in shoulder surgery and arthroscopy through choosing the Sports medicine unit to continue as an academic staff (Assistant Lecturer) and choosing my PhD. thesis titled: Mini-open arthroscopically assisted rotator cuff repair, completing my thesis and submitting for the exam for fulfillment of the PhD. degree which I passed successfully in November 2006, and got promoted to the academic degree of (Lecturer in Orthopedic surgery).
I had the chance for western training when i got the opportunity to visit Badgodsberg Shoulder clinic in Bonn, Germany for one year started in January 2004. The clinic deals with all shoulder and elbow pathology through arthroscopic and open techniques.
I have more than 26 scientific research papers published in the most prestigious international orthopedic surgery journals and more than 10 oral presentations in the annual meetings of the AAOS, EFFORT & SICOT.
In KSA, more than 2000 surgeries in the scope of upper limb trauma and shoulder sports injuries.
