Dr Mathew completed his MBBS and postgraduate MS in Orthopaedics from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He has participated in more than 770 orthopaedic surgical procedures across tertiary and secondary care centres, with extensive experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery and primary arthroplasty procedures, including hip hemiarthroplasty. He has also gained exposure to primary total hip and knee arthroplasty.
Dr Mathew has experience in paediatric orthopaedics and clinical exposure to sports injuries, including knee arthroscopy for diagnostic and basic therapeutic indications.
Before joining NMC Orthoplus Al Ain, Dr Mathew worked in various hospitals in India and the UAE in similar capacities. He is actively pursuing the Indian Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Arthroscopy Fellowship Certification and the American Board of Regenerative Medicine Certification, reflecting his keen interest in sports injuries, knee arthroscopy, and regenerative orthopaedics.
