Dr Sheetal has worked in various government and private institutions across India and served in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, for eight years before moving to the UAE. Prior to joining NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain as Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Sheetal has worked in a government hospital in Abu Dhabi in a similar capacity from 2016.
She is dedicated to treating patients with dignity and respect while keeping patient safety, confidentiality and ethics in her practice.
Dr Sheetal completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur, India in 2000. She further pursued postgraduate training and obtained her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from B.J. Medical College, Pune, India in 2004. She has earned DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005. Dr Sheetal received the prestigious MRCOG degree from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, United Kingdom in 2023.
She has developed strong expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies including multiple gestations, preterm pregnancies, antepartum haemorrhage, malpresentations and VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean sections). She has managed complex obstetric emergencies such as severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, antepartum haemorrhage, cord prolapse, shoulder dystocia and postpartum haemorrhage.
Dr Sheetal has extensive experience in handling pregnancies complicated by medical conditions such as cardiac diseases, thyroid disorders, chronic kidney diseases (including post- renal transplant cases), diabetes in pregnancy, respiratory disorders, sepsis, post - bariatric surgery pregnancies and acute surgical abdomen during pregnancy.
She experienced in treating routine gynaecological conditions like vaginal infections, heavy menstrual bleeding including post-menopausal bleeding, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pubertal disorders, breast disorder, contraception counselling and management.
