She has been a Consultant in Psychiatry with 15yrs experience having a strong background in psychopharmacological management, deaddiction interventions, stress management and psychotherapy. She has clinical experience and acumen, diagnostic skills and management expertise in addiction, adult Psychiatry and special population. She is patient friendly and LGBTQ sensitive and active in programs and community interventions to build mental health awareness and reduce stigma. She has an excellent academic base and has been an undergraduate and post graduate training faculty for 11years.
She has been part of neuropsychiatric teams in the management of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement disorders. She has set up community based treatment programs and conducted camps in disaster torn areas. She has proven expertise in organising treatment programmes, projects implementation and treatment protocols. Notable achievements include establishing and heading a deaddiction centre, conducting research on impulse control disorders in Parkinsonism, and leadership roles in professional settings. Strong clinical and leadership skills was demonstrated through team coordination and policy-making contributions throughout her career. She has publications and papers in impulse control disorders, substance use, behavioural addictions, physician impairment and role of media in Psychiatry in multiple national and international journals and conferences.
She has done numerous awareness programs, podcasts and awareness talks in professional, public and media for building mental health awareness. Career goals include advancing mental health services through specialised treatment programs, individualised interventions and awareness initiatives.
