Dr Sanil completed his MD at the University of Kerala in 2001 and his MBBS at TD Medical College, Alappuzha, India in 1994. He further advanced his education by obtaining an MS in Orthopaedics at VSS Medical College, Orissa, India, in 2005. He has attended special courses and medical training in orthopaedic and sports related surgeries in various countries to enhance and develop further his skills.
Dr Sanil has worked in various government and private institutions in India and UAE. Before joining NMC Orthoplus Al Ain, he is the Medical Director of Orthoplus Al Ain. Dr Sanil has over 20 years’ experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports-related injuries of the shoulder and knees. He is an active member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), and the Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS).
