Dr. Samer Hajjo graduated from Aleppo University in 1996, specializing in ophthalmology at Damascus University’s Al-Mouwasat Hospital, completing his specialization with distinction in 2000. Since early in his career, he has focused on strabismus and optics, eventually establishing Syria’s first specialized strabismus clinic in 1999. In 2005, Dr. Hajjo founded the Specialized Center for Strabismus and Optics in Damascus, attracting patients from across Syria and neighboring countries. His clinic expanded to three strabismus clinics and an optics clinic, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and staffed by highly trained ophthalmologists he personally mentored. Additionally, he previously oversaw strabismus clinic operations at Al-Mouwasat University Hospital, served as a board member and secretary of the Syrian Society of Ophthalmologists, and despite his deep ties to Syria, now works in various medical centers in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Syria.
