Dr. Sagarika Babu is a compassionate and experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 12 years of clinical experience in women’s health. Dr. Sagarika is from India and speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, allowing her to communicate comfortably with patients from diverse backgrounds. She is committed to providing safe, ethical, and compassionate care tailored to each woman’s needs.
She completed her MBBS from A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences (AJIMS), Mangaluru, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, in 2012. She then went on to specialize with an MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), affiliated with NITTE University, in 2017.
After completing her medical training, Dr. Sagarika began her career at AJIMS, Karnataka, and later worked as a Junior Resident at KSHEMA, Mangaluru. She gained further experience as a Junior Consultant at United Medical Centre, Kasaragod, Kerala. In 2021, she joined Aster MIMS, Kannur, as a Senior Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
She later worked as a Consultant at IQRAA Hospital, Wayanad, followed by roles as Associate Consultant at Chaitanya Hospital, Kannur, and Consultant at Aarya Hospital, before relocating to the UAE in 2025.
Dr. Sagarika is known for her patient-centred approach and supports women through every stage of life—from adolescence and pregnancy to menopause. She has extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sagarika has actively participated in national and international medical conferences. Her paper presentation on “Comparison of spontaneous and induced labour – outcomes and complications” at the Karnataka State Obstetrics & Gynaecology Association (KSOGA) Conference 2016 received wide appreciation. She has also presented a poster on a rare case of non-immune hydrops fetalis in a Hepatitis B–positive mother, which was well received by peers.
