Dr Rama earned his MBBS in 1981 from Medical College, Alleppey, Kerala, India, and had his MS degree at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, India, in 1988. He obtained his M.Ch. specializing in neurosurgery in 1991 at Medical College, Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
He has worked in multiple medical facilities over the years. His extensive knowledge and expertise in neurosurgery further developed through the years from practicing in his field for over 40 years. Prior to joining NMC Orthoplus Al Ain, he worked at a medical center in Al Ain in the same capacity as a Specialist Neurosurgery.
Dr Rama has a life membership in the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Neurological Society of India (NSI). He is a member of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS), Skullbase Society Oman, Oman Medical Association, Oman Neurosurgical Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, USA, and Emirates Neurosciences Society.
