Dr Patretia Edward, an Indian national with over 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience in India and the UAE, provides compassionate and comprehensive women’s healthcare. With 25 years of experience in the UAE, she spent 15 years at Al Qassimi Hospital Sharjah, a reputed government hospital in Sharjah, and 10 years at well-reputed private hospitals in the UAE.
Dr Patretia embarked on her career after successfully completing her studies: MBBS (1987) and DGO (1990) from Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala, India, followed by MD (1994) at Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. She also obtained DNB (1995) from the National Board Examination, New Delhi, India. Additionally, she completed her MRCOG (2002) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, UK, and became a Fellow, FRCOG (2014). She further pursued Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopy Hospital, India.
She underwent medical training at Trivandrum Medical College in Kerala and Chennai Medical College, Tamil Nadu, India. Following this, she completed specializations in colposcopy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ultrasonography, and lactation.
Proficient in managing high-risk pregnancies and all types of obstetric emergencies, performing minimal-access surgeries, gynaecological surgeries, pelvic floor repair, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and addressing reproductive health concerns, Dr Patretia stays current with the latest advancements in gynecology, including abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, contraception, fertility, adolescents, and menopause. She is also proficient in obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound.
