Dr. Albustani is a Canadian Board-certified Adult and Interventional Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He is dedicated to advancing the treatment of complex cardiovascular conditions through innovative clinical practices and high-risk interventional procedures. Since 2005, he has worked at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi, where he has performed over 3,500 PCI procedures, focusing on high-risk cases and utilizing advanced diagnostic and imaging technologies.

Dr. Albustani completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Fellowship in Adult Cardiology at the University of Calgary and a second Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).

He also led the American College of Cardiology National Registry of Cardiac Catheterization (NCDR CathPCI) data collection and served as the Chairman of the Corporate Clinical Consent Committee at SEHA.

Dr. Albustani is actively involved in cardiovascular research and has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications. He has served as the National Research Coordinator for the GCC Acute Coronary Syndrome Registry and has guided large-scale studies such as the Gulf RACE registry, focusing on cardiovascular risk factors in the Middle East.
