Dr. Mohammed Nafees Ahamad is a Specialist General Surgeon with over 13 years of extensive clinical, surgical, and academic experience. He completed his MBBS from NMCH, Patna (Magadh University) in 2009 and his MS in General Surgery from DMCH (Aryabhata Knowledge University) in 2016. He further obtained a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) from AMASI in 2021, MRCS (England) in 2025, and a Fellowship from the International College of Laparoscopic Surgeons in 2025.
Dr. Ahamad began his career as a Junior Resident at Darbhanga Medical College, India. He then joined the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, as a Senior Resident until 2019. He continued his academic and clinical practice at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, as a Senior Resident and later as an Assistant Professor until 2021. Subsequently, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College & Hospital (Aligarh Muslim University) and later as an Associate Professor at GS Medical College & Hospital, Uttar Pradesh, before moving to the UAE in 2025.
Dr. Ahamad has published several research articles in national and international journals. His notable work includes an article on “Bile Spillage During Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: Risk Factors and Increased Post-operative Morbidity” published in 2022, and a case series titled “Retained Rectal Foreign Bodies – An Unusual Finding in India” published in 2023. He has also presented multiple papers at National and International Conferences.
Dr. Ahamad is a member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England (UK), The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSI), and the Hernia Society of India (HSI).
