She led a dedicated paediatric epilepsy service in the UK, managing complex and treatment-resistant epilepsy, infantile spasms, and developmental epileptic encephalopathies. She played a key role in strengthening service delivery in alignment with national NICE guidelines, enhancing governance, improving patient access, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and diagnostic pathways.

In addition, she led paediatric neuromuscular services, overseeing multidisciplinary care for children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), and rare inherited neuromuscular disorders. Her expertise includes advanced disease-modifying therapies and gene therapy for SMA delivered in accordance with international clinical protocols.

Dr. Torne provides comprehensive evaluation and management of childhood neurological and developmental conditions commonly seen paediatric neurology, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, global developmental delay, speech delay, learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, movement disorders, headaches, neurogenetic conditions, and complex neurodevelopmental presentations.
