Dr. Jawdat Mohammad Ataya is a dental professional and medical educator from Damascus, Syria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Medicine and a Master’s degree in Medical Education, with over seven years of clinical experience across leading dental centres in Syria and the UAE.
Currently, Dr. Ataya is pursuing an Orthodontic Clinical Residency in Dubai, aligned with the Royal College of Surgeons (UK). He is skilled in a wide range of procedures, including veneers, crowns, root canal treatments, extractions, and aesthetic restorations, with special expertise in orthodontic training and paediatric patient care. This advanced training complements his broad expertise in general and cosmetic dentistry and reflects his commitment to expanding his clinical skills in orthodontics and evidence-based patient care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ataya has served as a Clinical Lecturer at Al-Sham Private University, where he trained dental students and supervised research projects. He is a distinguished researcher and author with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, covering areas such as oral and maxillofacial disorders, temporomandibular disorders, endodontics, dental health, medical education, and pharmacology. He has also presented his work at international conferences, including his most recent participation as an oral presenter at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Ataya has received several awards for his research contributions, achieving top rankings in national dental research competitions between 2016 and 2018. He also serves as a reviewer for internationally recognised journals, including Frontiers in Pharmacology and Cureus Journal, where he evaluates manuscripts for scientific rigour and relevance.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Ataya is deeply committed to patient care, offering a wide range of clinical services such as composite restorations, root canal treatments, scaling and polishing, orthodontic treatments, and advanced cosmetic procedures. He is also the founder of Our Hearts with You Foundation and an Ambassador of the Global Peace Chain, through which he promotes health, education, and community welfare.
