Dr Jan Rather is a highly experienced general and laparoscopic surgeon with a dedication to patient-centred care. With over 13 years of experience, he has demonstrated expertise in multidisciplinary care, quality and safety, communication, and evidence-based practice. Dr Rather is passionate about teamwork, mentoring, and education, extending his knowledge to both patients and stakeholders. His commitment to continuous learning ensures his practice remains at the forefront of the medical field. Prior to joining NMC hospitals, Dr Rather dedicated 13 years in high volume surgical centres in India, operating thousands of cases, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills in prestigious Indian medical institutes. With a Post-Doctoral fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery, Dr Rather is an expert in all types of advanced laparoscopic surgeries besides doing all the general surgery work with expertise. Dr Rather offers comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients. He has a fellowship in robotic surgery (FALS ROBOTIC), besides being a fellow of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (FIAGES).
