Dr Islam Dafalla completed his MBBS at the University of Gezira, Sudan, and obtained a Clinical MD in Anesthesia and Intensive Care from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in February 2023. He also holds Part 1 MCAI from the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland.
He has worked at Medani Heart Centre, Sudan – ICU Team Leader, specializing in cardiac and paediatric anaesthesia National Paediatric Surgery Centre, Sudan – Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Specialist.
Prior to working at NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain as a Specialist Anaesthesiology, where he manages patients in both the Operating Theatre and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). he worked at private hospitals and medical centres in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
He has participated in various clinical and academic activities, including publishing research papers in international journals. His most recent publication is a case report on cardiac arrest following ketamine administration in the Sudan Journal of Paediatrics.
