Dr. Claudia Granbichler brings over 18 years of expertise in the field where she has vast experience in treating patients with acute and chronic neurological diseases. She has worked with some of the most renowned specialists in the field of epilepsy in Europe for several years and then moved on to train and practice in one of the best hospitals in the world for many years where she gained profound insight into the full spectrum of neurological diseases with a special focus on stroke treatment and prevention.
Dr. Granbichler is passionate about acute neurological conditions such as stroke or seizures that require targeted rapid evaluation and immediate care in an acute or hyperacute setting by an experienced neurology-lead multidisciplinary team. Her expertise covers the full range of care such as evaluation, imaging and neurophysiology interpretation, in-hospital treatment and long-term aftercare and secondary prevention.
In addition, she has substantial experience in a wide range of neurological conditions, such as dizziness and vertigo, headache and migraine, neuro-immunological diseases such as multiple sclerosis or myasthenia gravis, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, where she guides patients through all stages of their medical journey from first evaluation to neurological testing, imaging, initiation and adjustment of treatment, as well as long-term follow up and guidance through all stages of life via a state-of-the-art approach according to the newest guidelines and recommendations.
Due to Dr. Granbichler’s extensive past research activity, including a PhD in neuroscience, her clinical knowledge is supplemented by a deep understanding of medical research and the ongoing need to implement its ever-growing advances into clinical practice in order to offer state-of-the-art advice based on the newest academic insights.
