Dr. Aamir Yassin is the best pediatric pulmonologist in Abu Dhabi, specializing in diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions in children. As a highly experienced child lung specialist in Abu Dhabi, he has dedicated over six years to the field of pediatric respiratory medicine. His expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including childhood asthma treatment in Abu Dhabi, chronic lung diseases, and other breathing disorders. Dr. Yassin is known for his commitment to providing exceptional care at NMC’s children's pulmonology clinic in Khalifa City, ensuring comprehensive respiratory healthcare for young patients.
He graduated from Omdurman Islamic University - Sudan in 2005 and joined the teaching staff at the pediatric department in 2006. He was later promoted to lecturer and then assistant professor in 2013. He completed a four-year pediatric residency program and obtained his MD in Pediatrics and Child Health from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in 2013. Following this, he worked at Mohamed Elamin Hamid Hospital for Children in Sudan as a general pediatrician (2013-2018). In 2018, he became a member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health – UK (MRCPCH).
Dr. Yassin furthered his expertise by completing two years of subspecialty training in pediatric pulmonology at Red Cross War Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. He was awarded the fellowship in pediatric pulmonology from the College of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) in 2021, along with a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from the University of Cape Town.
Upon returning to Sudan, he played a pivotal role in establishing pediatric pulmonology services at Ahmed Gasim Pediatric Teaching Hospital in 2021. He also set up the first flexible pediatric bronchoscopy unit in Sudan at Haj Alsafi Hospital in Khartoum in 2023.
