
Dr Sona Rajan is a seasoned medical professional with 23 years of extensive experience in the healthcare sector, serving in hospitals across India, the Maldives, and the Middle East. She earned her MBBS from Dharwad University, Karnataka, and holds several advanced certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She has also completed CPR Pro for Professional Rescuers from the American Health Institute and obtained a PG Diploma in Emergency Medicine from Himalayan University, India.
Dr Rajan has demonstrated her expertise in emergency medicine by successfully clearing Part A and Part B of the MRCEM (Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine), a specialization pathway from the United Kingdom.
Her career has seen her in key medical roles, including Medical Officer at Hindu Rao Hospital, Delhi, and Atoll Health Centers in the Maldives. She has also served as a Resident Doctor at Kasturba Hospital, Delhi, and as a General Practitioner at a prominent clinic in the UAE. In the Maldives, she worked as a Medical Officer in the Accident and Emergency Department at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital and as a Casualty Medical Officer at Sabarigiri Hospital in India. Additionally, Dr Rajan served as a Resident Medical Officer at Chelsa Hospital & Surgical Center in India.
Dr Rajan’s areas of expertise include the efficient management of emergency cases across medical, surgical, pediatric, and obstetrics & gynecology specialties. She is proficient in critical care management, minor OT procedures, assisting in major surgeries, and administering chemotherapy regimens.
