
Dr. Shekhar Shikare is a leading expert in Nuclear Medicine with over three decades of experience across India, the UAE, and Europe. He holds an MBBS, a Diploma in Radiation Medicine, and is a Diplomate of the National Board in Nuclear Medicine (India). He is also certified in Nuclear Cardiology (USA) and holds a European Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine.
He has led the development of full-spectrum diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services at multiple institutions, including Al Zahra Hospital and now NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah. His expertise spans SPECT/CT, thyroid and parathyroid imaging, nuclear cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, and neuroendocrine tumour imaging, nephrourology imaging, low and high dose radioactive iodine therapy in benign and neoplastic thyroid diseases.
