Dr Shabir mohammed is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with total 12 years of experience in the Gastroenterology department. He completed M.B.B.S. from Government medical college Kannur, and M.D. (Internal medicine) from Maulana Azad Medical College, MAMC New Delhi.
He further pursued D.M. Gastroenterology from Government medical college Calicut , India
.He also, completed MRCP SCE (Gastroenterology) from Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK Speciality Examination ( Gastroenterology) in 2016. and MRCP (UK LONDON) IN 2014
He was previously working at ASTER MEDCITY COCHIN as SENIOR SPECIALIST IN GASTROENTEROLOGY and prior to that served as TEACHING Faculty at the GOVERNEMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE CALICUT.
He has independently carried out complex diagnostic and therapeutic advanced endoscopy procedures (>700 ERCPs and >250 EUS procedures) and was also mentoring fellows in Gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy training.
Dr Shabir carries more than 10 years of advanced therapeutic endoscopy and clinical gastroenterology experience. His area of expertise lies in performing advanced endoscopic procedures like endoscopic ultrasound, guided FNA/FNBs, ERCP, spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (biliary, luminal stenting).
His special area of interest lies in management of liver conditions such as fatty liver. He is highly skilled in managing Pancreatic and biliary disease, IBD crohns disease and ulcerative colitis and IBS, Liver diseases (Fatty liver, Hepatitis B and C virus infections, autoimmune disorders), and the whole spectrum of GI Bleeding and other emergencies.
