Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Kakkar is an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, India, from where he completed his MBBS and MD (Paediatrics).He also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Hospital Management from National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, (NIHFW) New Delhi, India.
Having worked in the Indian Armed Forces hospitals for 24 years, he has a vast experience of tackling a wide spectrum of cases, neonates as well as paediatrics. He also had a short stint at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Kabul, Afghanistan. Dr. Sanjiv Kakkar gained international experience, working in the GCC, first as a Specialist Paediatrics at Al Raffah Hospital, Muscat, Oman, and thereafter as a Specialist Paediatrics in a prominent JCI accredited Hospital in one of the Northern Emirates of the UAE for two and a half years.
