Dr. Salma Kanwal acquired an Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons (established in 1962), Pakistan. She also acquired MRCOG1 and 2 from the UK. Apart she is qualified MRCPI Obs and Gynae – 1 and MRCPI 2 from Ireland. Dr. Salma has approximately 15 years of Obstetrics and Gynecology experience and is a well-regarded Gynaecologist doctor in Abu Dhabi. She is recognized as a skilled Obstetrician doctor in Abu Dhabi and a respected Specialist OB-GYN in Abu Dhabi, delivering quality women’s healthcare with compassion and expertise. Known as one of the best gynaecologists in Abu Dhabi, she is also widely trusted by patients as a dedicated pregnancy doctor in Abu Dhabi and an experienced women’s health doctor in Abu Dhabi.
She has completed her MBBS from University of Health Sciences, Lahore (NMC). Later she did her post-graduation from Nishtar Hospital Multan (1800 bed tertiary care hospital established in 1951).
She has over 15 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Well versed in managing normal and complicated vaginal deliveries, preterm deliveries, vaginal birth after caesarean and previous caesarean deliveries. She worked for 4 years in Nishtar Hospital, Multan, in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.
She is FCPS from Pakistan and attained specialization qualification from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, UK (MRCOG1 and 2), and also acquired MRCPI in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Ireland (MRCPI Obs and Gynae 1 and 2).
After that she moved to Abu Dhabi, worked in a multispecialty hospital Obs/Gynae department in Abu Dhabi before joining NMC Royal Women's Hospital. She is with NMC for last six years.
Her special interests include high-risk pregnancy, labor ward management, obstetric medicine, preterm delivery, infertility management, and general gynecology. Dr. Salma is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Urdu, Hindi, Saraiki, Punjabi, and Arabic, enabling her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
