Dr. Sadoon Sami Sadoon, MBChB, FRCOG (London), CABOG, FICMS, MBA (Cumbria), Associate Professor (MBRU) is the Group Chief of Women’s Health Services at NMC Healthcare and Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead for Minimal Invasive Gynaecology at NMC Royal Hospital – Khalifa City and NMC Royal Women’s Hospital.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Al Mustansiryah University, Baghdad in 1992. He received a certificate from the Arab Board for Higher Specializations in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (CABOG) in 1998, and MRCOG (London) in 2003. He was also Certified in Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery SSM, RCOG in 2005, CCT (London) in 2007 and FRCOG in 2017 and has earned a Master’s Degree (MBA) from Cumbria University, United Kingdom, 2022.
Dr. Sadoon has more than 30 years of experience working in many reputable hospitals and medical institutions in the UK and the Middle East. Before joining NMC Healthcare, he was the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and consultant at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children from 2018 – 2022, in addition to being the Group CMO at UEMedical, and Senior Advisor at Mubadala Health.
From 2015 – 2018, he was the division chief of gynaecology, chair of obstetrics & gynaecology, and lead for minimally invasive surgery at Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He also worked at Medway Maritime Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as obstetrics & gynaecology consultant and an honorary senior lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. Dr. Sadoon is qualified and experienced in advanced Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgery from the United Kingdom.
