Dr. Ravichandran completed his graduation in Medicine in 1993, Diploma in Anaesthesiology in 2000 and then his Master Degree in Orthopaedics (MS) in 2005 from Madurai Medical College, India. Furthermore, he also completed his Basic and Advanced Arthroplasty Training in India and at John Flynn Hospital, Brisbane, Australia and a Fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction Surgery at University of Göttingen, Paderborn, Germany
Dr. Ravichandran is a member of Indian Orthopaedic Association and held various administrative posts in National Orthopaedic Associations.
He has over 15 years’ experience in Orthopaedics and has worked in various institutions such as Apollo Hospitals, chennai, India and as Professor and Chief Surgeon of Arthroplasty in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry where he was training many post graduates and teaching undergraduates.
He has been the author and reviewer of more than 20 publications in both international and national journals of repute. He has given more than 25 international lectures in orthopaedic conferences has been invited to deliver key note address in many international ortho conferences in UK and Europe.
Dr. Ravichandran keen areas of interest are Primary as well as Revision Knee and Hip Replacements Surgeries, Trauma Management, Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine as well as management of Osteoporosis and Vitamin D deficiency and Stem Cell Therapy for Cartilage Regeneration.
He has special interest in treating patients with Chronic Low back and Neck pain symptoms by non-surgical approaches.
Dr. Ravichandran speaks English, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and basic Hindi and Arabic.
