His academic journey began with an MBBS from PGIMS-Rohtak in India, where he was honoured with a Gold Medal for academic excellence. He further pursued MD (Internal Medicine) at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore (India), graduating as the top performer in the university.
His pursuit of excellence led to the acquisition of Post-Graduate Diploma in Diabetes and Post-Graduate Diploma in Endocrinology, both from esteemed universities in the UK, achieving distinction in both.
Dr Arora has earned the Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology & Diabetes from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists, and the Society for Endocrinology, UK.
Dr Arora’s clinical interests are wide-ranging, covering all types of Diabetes (Type-1, Type-1.5, Type-2, and Gestational Diabetes), Thyroid and Parathyroid disorders, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Osteoporosis, Pituitary and Adrenal disorders, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, and Thrombophilic disorders.
He is particularly known for his patient-centric approach, being able to offer practical client friendly solutions to complex medical issues. He revels in offering personalised education and 24/7 support (by email and whatsapp) to his diabetic patients since 2012, achieving excellent outcomes.
Dr Arora has introduced innovative practices, including establishing a Vascular Lab and implementing the Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS) protocol within the NMC Diabetes-Endocrine department.
As the Clinical Lead and Academic Faculty, Dr Arora takes immense pride in mentoring new inductees and junior physicians in navigating the complexities of medical practice, bedside manners and clinical decision making. He has honed his ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and implement quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). Dr Arora is often consulted to support and offer insights to his colleagues and peers in managing challenging and high-stakes scenarios by providing guidance and collaborative problem-solving.
Dr Arora also is a designated OGUK/OEUK medical examiner since 2017. His exceptional linguistic skill set in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi facilitates effective communication with a diverse patient population.
