Dr Raafat Ammar has joined NMC ProVita on October 2014 as a Specialist Physician. He graduated from Cairo University, Kasr Al-Ainy School of Medicine in 1989 then completed his Master degree in Cardiology from Cairo University in 1996. He got his MRCP in internal medicine from Ireland at 2011.
After internship he joined a major Military Hospital in Cairo in Cardiology department, where he managed cardiology consults and CCU patients and practised noninvasive cardiology techniques. Then in 1993, he moved to Nasser Institute Hospital, a large tertiary hospital with more than 1000 beds, where he spent 6 years as a specialist in different ICU departments including general medical, cardiac (CCU), post cardiac surgery, trauma and surgical ICU, neuro-critical care and dialysis units. In 1998, he moved to Saudi Arabia (KSA) and was assigned as the head of ICU in MCH (Maternity and Children’s Hospital) in Al Hassa for 6 years.
