Dr Prakash began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Meenakshi Medical College, where he served from 2007 to 2008. He later worked as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Bharath Hospital, Kottayam, until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, he was associated with Vadamalayan Hospitals, Madurai, serving as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Therapeutic Endoscopist. Prior to joining NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain, Dr Prakash worked at a tertiary private hospital in Dubai, UAE from 2016 to 2020 as a Specialist Gastroenterologist.
Additionally, he has completed advanced training in third-space endoscopy at West China Hospital, Chengdu, China, and has a special interest in the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
