
Dr Pragati Agrawal is a Pulmonologist Consultant in Abu Dhabi with over 14 years of experience in advanced pulmonary care. She is also recognized as a Consultant Respiratory Medicine and a leading Lung Specialist in Abu Dhabi, bringing exceptional expertise to NMC Royal Hospital – Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. After graduating from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and completing her Post-graduation in Pulmonary Medicine from Seth G. S. Medical College, Mumbai, India, Dr Pragati has honed her skills in one of the country’s top Pulmonary Medicine Departments.
During her academic journey, Dr Pragati excelled as a scholarship holder and demonstrated exceptional merit. She has acquired comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced facilities, including the Intensive Respiratory Care Unit (IRCU), Pulmonary Function Lab, Environmental Research Lab, Video/Fluoroscopy-assisted Bronchoscopy Unit, and a fully functional Sleep Lab.
Previously, Dr Pragati served as a Consultant in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology in Trivandrum, Kerala. Her responsibilities included clinical sleep medicine, research, training residents and neurologists in sleep medicine, managing the day-to-day operations of a Sleep Lab, and handling various pulmonary cases. She has also been honoured with the esteemed World Sleep Federation Certificate in sleep medicine.
As a respected Chest Physician and Respiratory Disease Expert in Abu Dhabi, Dr Pragati has contributed significantly to the field through her clinical work and educational roles. She is a member of several professional associations, including Indian Chest Society, The Indian Sleep Disorders Association, Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and the European Respiratory Society. She has also taken part as a speaker in several CMEs in India and in UAE.
Dr Pragati’s areas of expertise encompass the management of severe asthma, COPD, obstructive sleep apnea, pulmonary infections, flexible bronchoscopy and related procedures. Before joining NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi, she served as an Assistant Professor in Pulmonary Medicine at D.Y. Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai.
Currently practicing as a Pulmonary Medicine Doctor, she also serves as a Consultant Lung Doctor Abu Dhabi, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, state-of-the-art care in all aspects of pulmonary and sleep medicine. Dr Pragati is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and knows basic Arabic.
