She chose to specialize in Paediatrics at the Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai, where she completed her DCH with a gold medal, followed by her MD in 1997.

Dr. Soares worked in private practice in Mumbai and then proceeded to the UK to pursue her interest in paediatrics and neonatology. She passed her MRCPCH (London) in 2000 and completed clinical rotations in both paediatrics and neonatology in Surrey, as well as at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and Wexham Park Hospital.

Dr. Soares joined Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah in 2002, where she is actively involved in the Neonatal ICU while also running a busy outpatient clinic.
