Dr. Naeem Akbar obtained his medical degree from King Edward Medical College Lahore in 1990, before pursuing his residency in Cardiology at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (LHR) Pakistan.
Later, he completed Post Graduation in Cardiovascular diseases from Post Graduate Medical Institute (LHR) afflicted with Punjab University (LHR) in 2000. From then, he had been working in Pakistan Government of Punjab Hospitals as Cardiologist till 2009.
He also got training in Cath Lab in 2003 for more than one year and got training in Diagnostic Cath Lab procedures, i.e. Coronary Angiography. He is a member of numerous echocardiographic Societies. He worked in Ministry of Health government Hospital UAE from 2009 to 2013, before joining NMC Royal Medical Centre in 2013.
