
Dr Mohammed Hussein Askar’s past experience spans 16 years in Critical care fields. He completed his Medical Doctorate degree (MD) in Intensive Care Medicine from Cairo University (2018), National American Board of Echocardiography (2015), Diploma of Preventive Cardiology (2011) and Master Degree of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (2009).
Dr Askar had been a resident for 6 years as a Specialist in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at he has experience of over 2 years working as Specialist of Intensive Care Unit at Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah and 1 year experience as Specialist and adjunct Clinical Tutor in Intensive Care Unit at Thumbay Hospital, Ajman, UAE. Dr Askar is also serving as Specialist in Critical Care Unit in Provita, Sharjah branch in the LTCU (long term care unit).
His areas of interest are general ICU, Cardiac care units and long-term care units. He is expert in implementing transthoracic echocardiography, central venous line, arterial line, temporary pacemaker insertion, advanced airway management and advanced mechanical ventilation.
Dr Askar has attended courses on Basic and Advanced Life support, Multi professional critical care courses, vascular ultrasonography training and advanced course in mechanical ventilation by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. He is a certified in ALS by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and Trauma life support.
He is fluent in speaking Arabic and English.
