Dr Maria joins us from the Indian Navy, being last posted as a Graded Specialist (OBGYN) at INHS Nivarini, Odisha. She has also served as Assistant Professor and Graded Specialist (OBGYN) at INHS Asvini, Indian Navy, Mumbai for 3 years. Prior to her Naval career, she was associated with prestigious healthcare facilities such as Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, Hinduja Healthcare Surgical Hospital, Khar(W), Mumbai and Lokmanya Tilak General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai.
Dr Maria completed Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) from Fr. Muller Medical College, Mangalore, under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She then completed her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Manipal University. She has also completed her MRCOG Part 1 and training in Basic Ultrasound from Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Societies of India (FOGSI).
Dr Maria speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
