Dr. Sivaji has over 35 years of clinical experience in the field of ENT of which 25 years have been in the UAE, working with big tertiary care hospitals. He started his professional career as an ENT Specialist in 1985 and was a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in ENT in various Government Medical Colleges in India before continuing his practice abroad. He was the Professor and Head of ENT in University in Ajman for 6 years.
Dr. Kumarabhavanam Gopinathan Sivaji did his MBBS from Medical College, Trivandrum, Kerala, India in 1982 and DLO from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India in 1985. Thereafter he completed The Diplomate in the National Board of India in 1993.
Dr. Sivaji has keen interest in microscopic ear surgeries, head and neck surgeries and skull base surgeries. His areas of interest include endoscopic sinus surgery, micro ear and microlaryngeal surgeries, paediatric ENT (with a focus on adenoid and tonsil surgeries, grommet insertions, foreign body removal from every area of the head and neck including challenging airway foreign bodies). He routinely performs diagnostic procedures like nasal endoscopy and laryngoscopies.
Dr. Sivaji has several indexed publications in many International Journals to his credit, of which “Salivary gland tissue on the vocal cord- a rare occurrence” - The Health Magazine - May 2006 was the most frequently visited article.
