Dr Arfath Mustafa completed his MBBS at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, India and he is a fully trained ENT Head & Neck Surgeon with master’s degree in Oto-rhino-laryngology, from Government Medical College, Nagpur, India (2015).

Prior joining to NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain, he spent 4 years at 1000 bedded Government Hospital Sohar, Oman as an Otolaryngologist, and worked as an Otolaryngologist and as a teaching faculty at Government Medical College Nagpur and 3 years’ experience in a Multi-speciality Hospital Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Dr Arfath Mustafa has extensive surgical experience of 7 years. His areas of expertise are:

Ear surgeries – Myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, grommet insertions, excision of exostosis, stapedectomy, middle ear implants, ossiculoplasty, foreign body removal, etc.

Nose surgeries – Endoscopic polypectomy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate reduction, foreign body removal, Sino nasal lesion removal/excision, traumatic septorhinoplasty, septal perforation repair, control of nasal bleeding, Snoring/sleep apnea detailed evaluation (includes Sleep study and drug induced sleep endoscopy) and related surgery.

Throat surgeries – Endoscopic Coblation adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy/tonsillotomy, oral cavity lesions including tongue lesions/mass. Voice box and airway surgeries – microlaryngoscopic excision of vocal cord lesion, biopsies, tracheostomy, closure of tracheostomy stoma, airway and oesophagus foreign body removal.

Head-Neck surgeries – thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, salivary gland tumour excision, and other head-neck lumps removal including cervical lymph node biopsies, paediatrics neck masses excision and congenital lesion resection.

Dr Arfath Mustafa was involved in multiple research projects in India. He has many national and international publications in peer-indexed journals. In addition to his accomplishments, he received the Best Paper Presentation award from Mentcon in 2014.
