Dr. Alaa is a German board-certified Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, including more than a decade at one of Germany’s leading tertiary referral heart centers, Rhön Klinikum Campus Bad Neustadt, followed by over 1.5 years of consultant practice in Dubai. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases, with a particular focus on coronary interventions, structural heart disease, heart failure, and cardiovascular imaging.
His clinical expertise includes coronary angiography, primary and complex PCI, intracoronary imaging (IVUS/OCT), physiological assessment (FFR/iFR), rotational atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and right heart catheterization. He also has extensive experience in the perioperative cardiovascular assessment and management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery, working closely within multidisciplinary heart teams to optimize surgical outcomes. He has a special interest in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and advanced heart failure and is committed to applying evidence-based medicine and the latest international guidelines in everyday clinical practice.
