Dr Myssoun Mhrez is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with extensive clinical experience over 20 years. A dedicated empathic healthcare professional committed to providing the highest quality care for her patients. She combines laparoscopy and hysteroscopy with evidence-based care, covering the full spectrum of women’s health from adolescence and fertility to high-risk pregnancies, menopause and aesthetic gynecology, management and counselling of psycho-sexual disorders. Her special interest is in addressing urinary inconsistencies and pelvic floor muscle changes medically and surgically and performing ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Myssoun holds Canadian Licentiate from Canadian medical Council LMCC as she is a member of both the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and member of Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Canada, reflecting a commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest global innovations in her field.
Throughout her career, Dr. Myssoun worked as Consultant in Alhammadi Hospital in Saudi Arabia and Dr. Sulaiman Alhabib in UAE and KSA also in her home country Syria. Additionally, she strengthened her experience in Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and medical practice in Canada. She also practices clinical teaching for medical students of Sharjah University and is involved in judging and decision making at the higher committee of medical liability DOH, DHA, and MOH.
Her clinical expertise includes managing endometriosis, menstrual disorders, abnormal uterine bleeding, high-risk pregnancies, complex cesarean sections, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), psychosexual disorders, surgical and non-surgical cosmetic gynecology including and not limiting to labioplasty, clitoral unhooding anterior and posterior repair, and vaginismus.
