
Qualification
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2011 from prestigious Calicut University, Kerala,India. Thereafter, she completed Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine , United Kingdom (MRCEM) in March 2024.
With more than 6 years of extensive experience in the field of Emergency Medicine, Dr Leena Mohammed Basheer brings in wealth of expertise in identifying life threatening illnesses and providing appropriate management including resuscitation and management of airway, encouraging a good team work, communication with required specialities and good communication with patients and care takers . She completed her MBBS in 2011 and 1 year internship from MES Medical College, Calicut University, Kerala, India.In 2014 She had worked as Oncology Medicial Officer in the Aster MIMS Hospital, Calicut ,Kerala .She started working as a General Practitioner in the Department of Emergency Medicine Kozhikode District Co-operative Hospital , Calicut, Kerala from 2018 alongside an excellent team of Emergency Physicians , where she decided to persue a career in Emergency Medicine and completed MRCEM(UK) in March 2024.
Dr Leena has participated in advanced training workshops and multiple conferences. She had done case presentations and attended academics at the institution where she worked.

- Treating patients in life threatening medical and surgical emergencies, including resuscitation , intubation and ventilation.
- Management of wounds and minor burns including suturing,foreign body removal from nose ,ears ,extremities, reduction of fractures and splinting.
- Interpretation of emergencies from ABG, ECG,Xrays
- Recognising patients with cardiac, respiratory ,neurological, gastrointestinal ,metabolic and pregnancy related emergencies and providing urgent medical care.
- Treating trauma patients and co-ordinating with various departments
- Invasive procedures like paracentesis, pleural aspiration and catheterisation.
