Dr Jayasheela completed her MBBS from Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India in 1994 followed by MD in Paediatrics from Irwin Hospital, MP Shah Medical College, Gujarat, India in 2000. She received her DM in Neonatology from Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India.
Dr. Jayasheela’s work experience in Neonatology spans 18 years in various facilities in India and UAE. She has worked in Childs Trust Hospital, Chennai as Senior Registrar in Paediatrics and as Junior Consultant in Neonatology, Sri Ramachandra Medical University as Assistant Professor in Paediatrics in Neonatology Department, Senior Resident in Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children and as a Consultant Neonatologist in Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital, Chennai. She started Child Development Center in Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital for follow up care for neonates admitted in NICU.
She has expertise in performing and supervising Neonatal procedures and Advanced Neonatal Ventilation including HFOV and Nitric oxide therapy. She has presented in several CME’s and has attended numerous conferences and workshops.
