Dr Syed Farrukh Shah is a UK trained adult Endocrinologist with a decade of experience in the specialty. After his graduation in 2006 in Pakistan, he went through a series of rigorous training programs in the UK including foundation training, core medical training, specialty training and finally achieved his CCT in Endocrinology and GIM while working across many prestigious hospitals in the Manchester region such as Manchester Royal Infirmary, Salford Royal NHS trust, Christie NHS trust and Wythenshaw Hospital.
He has worked as a consultant Endocrinologist in the UK since 2019, as well as a medical director and consultant in a not-for-profit organisation in Pakistan to help establish diabetes related services in the community and help the under privileged children and young adults of the society by helping to arrange free insulin through collaboration with international charity organisations. With an inspiration to enhance patient care and contribute to healthcare industry policy making, management and leadership he has completed an MBA in international healthcare management from the university of Cumbria, UK. He has strong communication skills and excellent clinical decision-making qualities.
His clinical interests encompass managing patients with complex type 1 & type 2 diabetes, medical weight management, Endocrine disorders related to thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands, male hypogonadism and PCOS. Listening to the patients and addressing their concerns is the hallmark of his clinical practice.
