Dr. Binu Parameswaran Pillai is an experienced endocrinologist with over 21 years of expertise in managing complex diabetes and endocrine disorders. His specialization includes diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, pituitary and adrenal gland conditions, metabolic bone diseases, and reproductive endocrinology.
After completing his postgraduate training in internal medicine, Dr. Pillai further specialized in endocrinology in India. Additionally, he earned a certification in diabetes care from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
With extensive international experience, Dr. Pillai has worked at leading healthcare institutions across the UAE, India, Maldives, Oman, Brunei, and Australia. From 2018 to 2023, he served as an endocrinologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), a leading referral hospital in the UAE and part of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA. There, he managed complex endocrine cases within a multidisciplinary team.
Currently, Dr. Pillai practices at NMC Royal Hospital, DIP, Dubai, providing specialized care for a wide range of endocrine disorders. Prior to this, he worked as Consultant Endocrinologist at Tree Top Hospital, Maldives (2023–2025), where he led a team managing complex endocrine disorders in both adults and children. He worked closely with the hospital’s Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Infertility (IVF) unit, treating gestational diabetes, hormonal and metabolic causes of infertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
His expertise also includes the management of osteoporosis, thyroid cancers, and childhood endocrine disorders such as diabetes, growth disorders, metabolic conditions, and pubertal abnormalities. He collaborated with neurosurgeons, cancer surgeons, ENT specialists, orthopaedic doctors, and paediatricians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Trained in neck ultrasound and biopsies, Dr. Pillai has contributed to multiple research studies, published in renowned medical journals, and presented at global conferences.
