Dr. Binu Parameswaran Pillai is a highly experienced endocrinologist with over 21 years of expertise in diabetes and endocrinology. Dr. Pillai completed his MD in internal medicine and further specialized in Diabetes and Endocrinology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. Dr. Pillai is trained in Neck ultrasound and biopsies. Throughout his career, he has worked in prestigious healthcare institutions across UAE, India, Maldives, Oman, Brunei, and Australia, gaining extensive international experience.His previous role in the UAE was working as an endocrinologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) from 2018 to 2023, where he managed complex diabetes cases, obesity, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancers, complex pituitary and adrenal disorders, reproductive endocrinology, metabolic bone disorders and osteoporosis within a multidisciplinary team.

Before returning to UAE in March 2025, he served as a Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of the department of Endocrinology at Tree Top Hospital, Maldives from 2023 to 2025 where he was part and led the team managing complex endocrine disorders particularly diabetes and metabolic disorders in adults and adolescents. During this time, he worked closely with the busy Obstetrics/Gynaecology and the infertility (IVF) unit of the hospital where he managed gestational diabetes, female and male infertility related to hormonal and metabolic disorders as well as polycystic ovary syndrome.  He led the team and actively managed osteoporosis and thyroid cancers and worked closely with the neurosurgeons, cancer surgeons, ENT surgeons and Orthopaedics doctors. He also worked closely with paediatricians managing diabetes, growth disorders, metabolic disorders as well as pubertal disorders.

He has contributed to various research studies, published in renowned medical journals, and presented at global conferences.
