Dr Juan Uria is a Consultant Urologist with over two decades of experience in the treatment and management of urological issues.
Dr Juan gained his medical degree at the University of Oviedo, and later went on to gain his PhD at the University of Barcelona. After gaining experience as a urologist in Barcelona (Hospital Germans Trias I Pujol), Dr Juan was appointed Professor and Head of the Urology Department of Consorci Hospitalari de Vic till 2018.
Dr Juan is established in Abu Dhabi since 2018, and was working in Mediclinic Airport Road, Cure Medical Centre and Global Care Hospital, before joining NMC Royal Hospital in Khalifa City.
Dr Juan offers a complete range of urology diagnostic tests, treatments and surgeries (open, endoscopic and laparoscopic-key hole procedures) related to the urinary tract and male reproductive organs. Dr Juan is involved in the management of a wide range of conditions such as bladder problems, incontinence, prostate cancer, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, and urinary tract infections. As a consultant, He is responsible for providing expert opinion and guidance to other healthcare professionals, such as GP’s, on complex cases and making decisions regarding patient management and treatment. He works closely with other specialists including radiologists, oncologists and surgeons, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for their patients. In addition to patient care, consultant urologists also engage in research, education and training activities to advance the field and improve patient outcomes.
